Benito el Cubanito, the new cartoon that will bring a smile to your face and your tummy

San Antonio, Texas – May 1, 2021 – The new cartoon – Benito el Cubanito – will make its world debut this coming Sunday, May 2, 2021 exclusively on the MyCubanFood.com site. It will be a regular feature every Sunday on this site.

Ruben Soto, the creator of Benito el Cubanito saw a void in the Cuban-American cartoon market and he decided to create this character and add it to his popular food blog My Cuban Food.

Benito is a five-year-old Cuban-American boy who lives in Miami with his parents. His father’s name is Pepe and his mother’s name is Gladys. His mother’s parents – abuelo y abuela – live next door to them.

Benito is an only child and he loves to eat food – especially Cuban food. His favorites are croquetas and pastelitos de guayaba (croquettes and guava pastries). However, he likes to try all types of food.

The art work is by Gabriel who resides in Spain. The cartoon will be published in Spanish but will have the English translation on mycubanfood.com.

Ruben Soto is the author of several books including Univision: How it Beat ABC, CBS, NBC and FOX, which tells the history of Spanish-speaking television in the United States. He is the founder of the Society of Latino/Hispanic Writers of San Antonio and the Miami Writers Association. He is featured in the prestigious LatinoAuthor.com site – http://thelatinoauthor.com/featuredauthors/soto-ruben where you can read his interview.
